For nearly 25 years, our extensive fireplace showroom based in Potters Bar houses the largest range of gas fires, electric fires, media walls, fireplaces, fires with surrounds, stoves and fire accessories in Hertfordshire, for both contemporary and traditional homes.

We offer a design and complete fitting service for both gas and electric fires purchased through ourselves, with all fires and fireplaces being installed by our fully qualified (Gas Safe and HETAS registered) engineers. Alternatively, should you wish, we can simply deliver your new fire to your home.

Can you install a fireplace I have purchased elsewhere?

Unfortunately, no. We only install fireplaces supplied by Hertfordshire Fireplace Gallery. This ensures compatibility, protects manufacturer warranties and allows us to take full responsibility for the installation. We cannot guarantee or accept liability for issues arising from products purchased elsewhere.

Are your fireplace installers qualified?

Yes. Our installation team includes Gas Safe registered engineers for gas appliances and HETAS registered installers for solid fuel appliances, ensuring every installation meets current UK safety standards.

Do your fireplaces come with a warranty?

Yes. Our fireplaces and appliances are supplied with manufacturers’ warranties. Warranty periods vary depending on the brand and product, and we’ll explain the cover when you purchase.

Can you install a fireplace if I don’t have an existing chimney?

Absolutely. Many modern gas and electric fireplaces can be installed without a traditional chimney. We can recommend the most suitable options during your free survey.

Can I convert my existing fireplace to a gas or electric fire?

In many cases, yes. We can assess your existing fireplace and advise on the best way to upgrade it to a modern gas or electric fire while retaining the character of your home.

How long does fireplace installation take?

Most standard installations can be completed within a day, although larger projects such as media walls, bespoke fireplaces or chimney alterations may take longer. We’ll provide a clear timescale before work begins.

Do you provide free home surveys?

Yes. We provide a free home survey to ensure your chosen fireplace or stove is suitable for your property. During the survey, we’ll assess your chimney, flue and installation requirements, while answering any questions you may have before installation.
